Helplines Australia actively supports and promotes professional standards for telephone and online counselling, information and referral services, whilst recognising the autonomy of each service. We are a voluntary, non-profit membership association. We represent all types of helplines including small volunteer-based local helplines and publicly funded national helplines.
Helplines Australia welcomes individuals and agencies that offer telephone or internet support services to the public or to special population groups to become members and participate in the representation of the helplines industry in Australia.
Please note: Agency membership with Helplines Australia requires two individuals, one person to be the representative of the agency for membership and one person to be the nominee of the agency for membership. All applications for membership will be submitted to the Committee of Management for approval.
